Between the lines

Where Music Becomes Art Have you ever listened to a song and felt something you couldn't quite put into words? That moment when a melody hits differently. When a single lyric feels like it was written just for you. When the atmosphere of a song wraps around you like something you can almost touch. I've always felt music that way - deeply, visually, almost physically. And at some point I stopped trying to describe that feeling with words. Instead, I picked up a fineliner. This is how a Soundscape is born. It starts with a song. I listen…like really listen. Not just to the melody, but to the space between the notes. The weight of the lyrics. The mood that builds before the chorus hits. The feeling that stays long after the last note fades. Then I let it all out onto the page. Through fineliner, acrylic paint, alcohol markers and diffrent kinds of tools, layer by layer, until the song becomes something you can see. Every Soundscape is personal. It carries my thoughts, my feelings, my connection to that one song in that one moment. Between the Lines is not just a gallery. It's a place where music lives in a different form. Do You Feel Love? - A piece inspired by Bad Omens' Specter

Some songs just get under your skin and refuse to leave and Specter by Bad Omens is exactly that kind of song. The haunting atmosphere, the emotional weight, the question it leaves behind: Do you feel love? I knew I had to turn that feeling into something visual. The result is this piece: a skeleton draped in dark, flowing shadows, a glowing red heart still beating inside its chest - raw, exposed, and bleeding. Around it, a deep blue ocean overflow a quiet dark winter scene, a lone deer standing still in the cold, ‘‘like a specter in your headlights on the road’’. There's something deeply melancholic about it, but also strangely tender. Even stripped down to the bone, the heart remains. Mixed media - ink, watercolor, and marker - all in my sketchbook, the way I love it most. No rules, just feeling. If you know the song, I hope this resonates. And if you don't …go listen. Ghosts are now waiting for you… - A piece inspired by System of a Down's Question

There are songs that feel like a fever dream and Question by System of a Down is one of them. Ethereal, haunting, and achingly beautiful. When I first heard the lyrics, I saw this image instantly: birds taking flight into an endless teal sky, a world caught between dreaming and dying. So I painted it. A lush, wild landscape bursting with deep greens, berries, and tangled branches, full of life, yet touched by something ghostly. Above it all, black birds spiral upward into a swirling sky, while a burning red sun sinks low on the horizon. And woven into the scene, the words that started it all: "Do we die?" The lyrics are written directly into the piece, not as decoration, but as part of the world itself. Because that's what this song does: it makes the question feel like it's growing out of the earth beneath your feet. Mixed media in my sketchbook, made with a lot of feeling and a little bit of magic. 🖤

We're not gonna be a commodity - A piece inspired by Bad Omens' Artificial Suicide

Some songs are a punch to the gut and Artificial Suicide by Bad Omens hits exactly like that. It's raw, it's angry, and it says out loud what so many of us feel: we are more than what the system wants to make of us. This piece is my visual response to that. A factory line where tiny figures stand beneath a looming billboard screaming "Can you hear me?" — bodies reduced to product, identity turned into inventory. Red buttons flashing BUY BUY BUY, an assembly line of consume and consumption, and at the bottom, the industry, the rich and powerful ones which we feed. It's uncomfortable. It's meant to be. Art should ask questions. Art should make you feel things you'd rather look away from. In a world that constantly tries to package, sell, and feed us back to ourselves …this is my NO. Just a pen, some ink, and something worth saying. 🖤

R.I.P. Peace of Mind - A piece inspired by Bad Omens' The Death of Peace of Mind

There's a reason this album feels like it was written for the restless, the overstimulated, the ones who can't seem to quiet the noise inside their heads. The Death of Peace of Mind isn't just an album title, it's a feeling. And this piece is that feeling, made visible. A girl with pink hair and tear-stained eyes, caught between fire and stillness. Behind her, a gravestone engraved with the words "Peace of Mind" because sometimes that's exactly what it feels like: something you once had, now buried. The world around her burns in orange and red, while minimalist symbols float above, ‘‘Death’’, ‘‘Peace’’ and ‘‘Mind’’. Chaos dressed up as meaning. She's not falling apart. She's just standing in the middle of it all, eyes closed, trying to hold on. This one was deeply personal to make. Sometimes art is the only way to process what words alone can't carry. 🖤🌿

The Phantom of the Opera is there, inside your mind . A piece inspired by The Phantom of the Opera

Few stories have captured the imagination quite like The Phantom of the Opera. A tale of obsession, beauty, and the masks we wear - not just on our faces, but in our minds. When I sat down to create this piece, I knew I wanted to capture that haunting duality. At the center: the iconic white mask, nestled in a wreath of deep red roses, romantic and unsettling all at once. Surrounding it, ornate golden borders and swirling ironwork vines, like the walls of the opera house itself closing in. And woven into the piece, the words that have stayed with me: "The Phantom of the Opera is there, inside your mind" and "Those who have seen your face draw back in fear - I am the mask you wear, it's me they hear." Beauty and fear. Longing and shadow. This piece is both. Made with ink, markers and watercolor in my sketchbook, with a lot of love for this timeless story. 🖤🌹🎭
